Guests will enjoy dinner, a silent auction, 50/50 raffle, and interactive games — all in support of PREP’s education, therapy, and community programs that help individuals with Down syndrome build skills, confidence, and inclusion in every stage of life.

The Roadmap of Psycho-Educational Assessments

Join us for an informative session that demystifies the world of Psychoeducational Assessments (what they measure, why they matter, and how the results can help support student success). This presentation will be led by our Registered Provisional Psychologist, Nicole Macmillan B.A. (Hons), M.Sc. This session will walk you through the process in simple, practical terms — from understanding what’s tested and why, to how the results can guide support at school and home.
We will talk about: What’s included in a PsychEd Assessment and how often it’s needed How results are shared and used in schools to support learning Understanding accommodations, stigma, and the teacher’s role Ways to access funding, benefits, or insurance support You’ll leave with a clearer understanding of how assessments can open doors to the right supports to helping your child feel confident and capable at school. This workshop is open to the community.
